Well, lets see...it has been awhile since I wrote on of these blogs. I am much better at showing my life through pictures, such as on my space or facebook. Not to much has been going on. Payton is still growing and doing good in school. He has a best friend across the street he loves to play with and more friends that live around who come knocking on our door. He is very big into Clone wars which is a cartoon addition to Star wars. He has adapted to life with his parents apart very well and a lot of that I believe is because his father and I get along better apart. We are still a family and Payton knows this.
Has far as me...I am still teaching, but I will be taking my Nuclear Medicine boards this summer and will start looking for a job. The idea of having to move out of state has warmed up to me. Plus , I now have a wonderful new person in my life "Jeff" and I truly believe he was sent to us. He is great with Payton, a very caring, affectionate, sweet and encouraging man. He is just what I need. He wants to go with Payton and I where ever it may be I end up getting a job!! Being alone in a new city, much less state with an eight year old and no support was a big reason i didn't go into the Nuclear Medicine Field right away. I needed sometime with Payton adjusting to being a single mom, on my own for the first time in 12 years and Payton needed that time to. Staying in Savannah and teaching has giving me just that. I thought I would stay in the teaching field and earn my masters. But with loving encouragement from family, friends and mostly my Lucky (AKA Jeff) I know working in the field I earned my degree is something I want to give a real shot at!!
As far as my Lucky, he got out the army in June after 7 years and one deployment to Iraq. We met after he was back in the states 3 weeks. We have been together since April and it has been a blast. We have that type of relationship that you always wish for but aren't sure is really out there. He is my camper!! Meaning we know what the other is thinking with out them speaking, , often find ourselves doing something only to find the other ask us to do that one thing seconds later. Of course the one asking had no clue the other already did. We speak the same thoughts out loud often at the same time. This all started the night we met and is the reason he stayed in Savannah. He is from China Grove, North Carolina and was stationed at Fort Stewart, GA before leaving for Iraq and after returning. He joined the National Guard and is in school, while working as a loan shark. Ha Ha, no really.
But, the silly guard is taking him away. Only for a month, all of February!! Booo. I have no clue what I will do with my time!!
